I just completed a auto to manual tranny swap on a 99 Accord EX. I found a donor car that was being parted out and got the tranny, axles, ecu, wiring harness, starter, and pedals. The car drives well now. The clutch is adjusted and I am pleased. I am mostly done swapping a D16 with manual transmission into my insight. The IMA battery was going out, and then the trans did go out, so I decided to do this swap earlier than anticipated. My main issue is the automatic wiring harness, I believe, is looking for the park neutral safety switch, before allowing power to all the required places. Remove the center console by removing the screws on the perimeter of the center console. Go underneath the car, and remove the four bolts that connect the automatic shifter to the chassis. Disconnect all of the connectors from the automatic shifter, and remove the screws connecting the shifter from the center console.
